example, cemetery where Union and Confederate soldiers rest alongside Prince Murat,

Falling Waters State Park - 67-foot waterfall which empties into a 100-foot deep
sinkhole, 945 feet of boardwalks traversing numerous dry sinkholes, swimming,

Torreya State Park - Famous for its high bluffs that rise steeply 150 feet above
the Apalachicola River. See a restored antebellum mansion and nature preserve,
claimed to be the Garden of Eden because of the magnitude of plants indigenous

Wakulla Springs - One of the world's deepest and largest fresh water springs
(185-feet deep). The grounds are home to an abundance of wildlife. Enjoy glass

Eden State Park - A stately 1895 post Civil War southern mansion among moss-draped
live oak trees and surrounded by lush gardens. Approx. 30 minute tour. Day trips

Port St. Joe - Historic city, first railroad of Florida, first pure thoroughbred
horse racing stable in the state, Constitution Park, site for State Capital until

Apalachicola - City with over 200 historic residences intact, Gorrie Museum, home
of physician/inventor of the first ice machine, (closed Tuesday and Wednesday,

Canoe Trails - Three of Florida's designated canoe trails where wildlife is abundant
and adventure awaits.
- Econfina Creek - 22 miles of narrow, twisting and swiftly flowing waters.
- Holmes Creek - Clear water paddling past sandy banks and lush swamplands;

- Chipola River - 52 miles through high limestone bluffs, past caves and

McCormick Springs - Take a dip in this crystal clear spring that flows from within the vast Floridian Aquifer. The spring feeds a 100-ft. rock lined pond that is ideal for a cool swim on a hot day!
